Sara Henry, along with directors and teachers in over 3000 Music Together locations and 40 countries worldwide finds deep satisfaction in sharing our knowledge, skills and passion for music.

Meet Ms. SAF (Sara Henry) Center Director/Teacher

Hello Everybody! I'm so glad to see you! I'm the director and main teacher of Music Together Vlindertjes in Utrecht. If you're signed up for one of our classes, I'll be your fearless leader and musical tour guide.

Allow me to take a moment to introduce myself. I recently embarked on a journey from the United States to the stunning Netherlands, and I’m wholeheartedly embracing my new life in Utrecht. Music has been an integral part of my life for over 40 years. I began my musical journey with piano lessons and choir singing, eventually pursuing a professional career as an opera singer after completing my degree. It has been an incredible experience, allowing me to perform in opera houses across the globe and sing in more than 50 different operas!

While I absolutely love performing, I likewise have a true passion for music education. I take great joy in nurturing the next generation of musicians and love witnessing young children, along with their parents, embark on their musical journeys. (Not to mention that I imagine the world would be a much better place if we all could take some time every week just for singing, dancing, being silly and connecting with one another.)

Since 2022, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching the Music Together program—a path I was inspired to follow after taking classes with my daughter from her infancy until she started primary school. When she began school, I realized how much I missed the program and was excited to undergo teacher training to lead my own classes. I've been teaching ever since. When my family decided to move to Utrecht last year, I saw a fantastic opportunity to expand the program in this vibrant community, and I can’t wait to share my passion for music with everyone here!
